System requirements

Pretty much the faster your system, the better. If you have a 176x256x176x16-bit volume, which is ~16MB, MIView will use about 21MB to store the image (on top of the program memory requirements). If you plan to load very large datasets, plan to use about double the image size. The better the graphics card, the better MIView's performance. A faster hard disk will load images faster.

One requirement to view any images is that your system must support OpenGL. Volume rendering is working, but only newer video cards will support the 3D textures. If you video card doesn't support 3D textures, you'll just see a white or black box.
